For the second consecutive year, Monsanto has been named one of Hawai‘i’s Most Charitable Companies in 2015 by Hawai‘i Business Magazine. Of the 73 organizations that made the list, Monsanto ranked 13th.
“We are very proud to be recognized by Hawai‘i Business Magazine for our recent philanthropic contributions," said John Purcell, Hawai‘i business and technology lead at Monsanto Hawaii. “Providing support to our local communities is one of Monsanto’s core values and our employees in Hawai‘i are dedicated to enhancing the communities in which we live and work.”
Monsanto Hawaii and its employees have donated more than $700,000 in cash and in-kind donations to numerous community organizations across the state. They also dedicated nearly 7,000 volunteer hours for various causes including health and human services, disaster relief, historic preservation, education and environmental protection.
Hawai‘i Business Magazine began compiling the annual list of Hawai‘i’s Most Charitable Companies in 2012, and has since been regarded as a key barometer of corporate giving in the state.
