Saving Hawaii’s Bees and Agriculture Industry

Hawai'i has over 10,000 bee hives, all with multiple bees that help in a vital part of many of our local crops maturation process: pollination. Recently, our bee population has been threatened by a small type of beetle which nests in bee hives and whose larva feeds upon developing bees. The state of Hawai'i hired a bee inspector to educate Hawaii's beekeepers on techniques they can use to save our bees and protect our agriculture industry.
